The Shimano Deore XT M8000 features revamped pulleys and geometry for lighter shifts and increased chain stability. Using a shallower angle on the refined Shadow design creates an ultra-low profile for avoiding rocks and other trail obstacles while also keeping the upper pulley nearer to the cogs throughout the gear range. Extra stability is provided by a switchable clutch that easier to adjust than ever using an allen key to tighten or loosen the friction damper.
