For this wheelset HED has taken their fantastic C2 rims and made them wider 25mm wide to be exact. This extra width takes the characteristics that made the 23mm version great even better. A wider rim means that a mounted tire gets more sidewall support and a larger contact patch so corners can be taken more confidently. It also means that lower pressures can be run which helps smooth out road noise making for a more comfortable ride. In addition to this widening the new rims have been made tubeless ready so if you decide you want to make the jump to road tubeless it will be an easy transition. Backing these new rims up are HED’s venerable Sonic hubs. Their aluminum construction is lightweight but durable and the oversided bearings used provide a long lasting smooth ride.
