Majoring on aerodynamics, the Wake 6560 Corsa Tubeless Disc Tactic Wheelset from Princeton CarbonWorks is aimed at riders who want maximum speed without sacrificing handling. It features their distinctive wavy rim design that reduces drag whilst also improving stability in sidewinds, greatly increasing its operating window.
The Tactic TR01 hubs match the rims’ performance, with a combined weight of just 215 grams they are seriously light, but still offer fantastic strength and performance thanks to the machined construction and Tungsten Disulfide coated ceramic bearings. The ConicalFace freehub has 45 points of engagement for extremely rapid reactions when accelerating, and the design also aids longevity and reliability by spreading the load over a wider area.
The build is tied together by Sapim’s renowned CX-Ray spokes that combine low weight with stiffness for a strong and fast wheelset.
